Multiple infrastructure, utility, transportation, and recreation projects are currently underway across Lincoln City. Here's where things stand as of July 2026:
Status: Final Phase Underway
Lincoln City continues replacing more than 10,000 aging water meters with a wireless radio-read system.

The city reports the multi-year project began in 2023 and is expected to wrap up during 2026.

The city is constructing new water infrastructure to connect the existing water system to the new Spring Lake Pump Station.
Benefits include:
• Improved water system reliability
• Increased service capacity

This project will:
• Increase sewer pumping capacity
• Reduce stormwater infiltration into the sewer system
• Add upgraded monitoring and alarm systems
The Holmes Road Boat Ramp remains closed during construction.

The Oregon Coast's first inclusive and accessible public playground opened in December 2024.
Phase 2 includes:
• Entry plaza
• Event stage
• Flexible lawn area
• Covered picnic shelters
• ADA restrooms
• Public art features
The city expects Phase 2 to open during Summer 2026.
Phase 3 is moving into construction and will add:
• Permanent pickleball courts
• Covered multi-sports court
